R.I.P. Grandpa

1933-2012

My Grandfather was a wonderful man. Like all of us, he was not perfect, but as a grandfather, I couldn't have asked for more.

He left a legacy behind that his family, and nation will carry in our hearts.

As a father, and grandfather, he treated his family with love and respect. His sense of humour always brought a smile to our faces, and I personally only have positive, priceless memories of the times I have spent with my grandfather.

As a servant to his nation, he worked very closely with Tanzania's first president, and those afterwards in establishing the nation we have today-- One of the few African countries who have avoided civil war, and uprisings, and continues to maintain peace and safety. Even his nation mourns for him, as exemplified in THIS article.

RIP Babu, tunakupenda, na tunakumiss sana. May the Lord grant you everlasting peace.
